Better Love

I was alone, and I was praying you had grown.

I freed a moth that saw a light inside my home.

Or, inside my soul.

The wind had blown, and carried salt from off the water.

Where stones were thrown, and hidden in the undertow.

Or, inside my soul.

It's like you've gone away.

Spread a little loam. You toss the seeds and watch them grow.

There's a better Love reaching out under the soil.

Or, inside my soul.

It's like you've gone away.

I swear to God and you I'm doing ok. Living the dream is worth the pain.

There's always angels around me now.

Time is sweeter each day.

It's like you've gone away.
