Don’t Come My Way

If you come my way, sailing through the light -

It's holier than breath to you-

I'd still be running from your laws,

And you'd be preaching to the lost,

And wondering why I look forsaken.

Don't come my way,

Cause I've been running a long time.

You'd see this weight of mine is strong.

But, if you come my way, leave me that light I love.

It's been calling my name for so long.

I came your way,

I learned to get around,

But I didn't know where I was going.

I saw the Holy Island glow,

Like heaven seeping, open -

But I could never thrive in colder weather.
